Mark LeitaAs SR. Director of Government Relations for The SCOOTER Store, a nationwide power mobility supplier that has helped over 350,000 seniors and disabled Americans regain their freedom and independence, I am responsible for all legislative activities in Washington, DC that have an effect on The SCOOTER Store and its customers. I regularly speak with national office holders on health care matters specific to power mobility.

In addition to my legislative duties, I am tasked with developing strategic long-term relationships with physician organizations from around the country as well as national advocacy groups such as the National Chronic Pain Society, the Arthritis Foundation, MS Society, American Association for Homecare, American Society on Aging and the Power Mobility Coalition.

I have ghost written extensively for corporate executives as well as a few publications for the aging. As the voice of The SCOOTER Store, I have been invited to appear on state and national radio shows. All media inquiries and requests from across the country land on my desk.

It is my goal to educate you, the reader, about all serious issues that affect our nation’s most frail population. The Mobility Report will introduce you in to a whole new world like you would have never imagined. So let me be your guide. I promise this will be based on my personal opinion, knowledge and experience.

More than any of my business accomplishments, I am most proud of my wife Wendy, our 7-year old daughter, Madyson and our 3-year-old twins, Karsyn and Kolby. I serve on the Ohio Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers (OAMES) Government Affairs committee as well as the New Braunfels Greater Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs committee. Lastly, I serve as President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association for Comal County.
